Winter Season at Seapoint

Posted on Posted in Canoe, Kayak, Seapoint, What We Offer

We are fast approaching our winter season at Seapoint Canoe Centre.

This involves significant changes to our Saturday morning sessions.

Please read through the following carefully:

1. As from after half term starting Saturday 4th November we move into our winter season.
2. Only those aged 13 and over are allowed to paddle (under this age children chill very quickly, and their safety is our priority)
3. All paddlers must be properly dressed for the cold. They must at least be wearing a wet-suit and cag (wet-suits are not provided by Seapoint).
4. It is the coach’s final decision whether or not someone is fit to paddle.

These changes are to ensure the safety of those who use our centre during the winter months.

Please note that we are not changing the time of Saturday morning sessions this year. They will remain 10-12 throughout the winter.

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to provide wetsuits to those who do not own them. Wetsuits are a requirement for those using the canal from the 4th November.

Please stay tuned for news of winter trips and events!
